Student Involvement

Quick Facts:

The Henderson Campus Center serves as a facility where student organizations can easily conduct meetings, business, programs and work to support and further the education and social missions of their organizations. Much of the space on the third floor was constructed to provide adequate working environments for student organizations and enhance the opportunities for the intersection/interaction of student groups. To facilitate the ease of that happening, the facility has space located on the third floor for the express purpose of storage. The spaces exist to provide adequate storage and easy regular access to historical papers, current paperwork for the operation of the organization, and supplies related to the functions of the organization.

Tenant Policies

» No open or perishable food may be stored in these spaces.
» Each organization will receive a sign on the front of their storage unit, please do not remove or cover.
» Organizations must keep current information on file with the Office of Student Involvement for the purposes of recognition and Gator Groups Database. Failure to do so may affect the status of your current and future storage space.
» Failure to utilize your space well will affect the status of your current and future space. "Well use" is defined as orderly, necessary items for storage. » » Please review items on a semesterly basis. Much is accumulated that is unnecessary to current and future operations of your organization. While we encourage the preservation of archival information- we suggest you send pictures, memorabilia, minutes or business items of significance to the college historian. We encourage organizations to begin converting old minutes to computer files for ease of storage.
» Each organization will receive a combination lock, the president may distribute the combination to members at his/her discretion. Damage that occurs to the lock is the responsibility of the organization currently occupying the locker when the damage occurs.
» Units MAY NOT be used for the storage of hazardous materials or illegal substances.
» All organizations housed in the Student Organization room are responsible for maintaining a clean environment. Groups not respectful of this can jeopardize their current or future storage space.
» Organizations must abide by building and college policies, state and local laws both on and off campus. Failure to do so will result in loss of space during current and future academic years.
» Groups vacating the space at the end of an academic year are responsible for leaving the space in its original condition.
» These spaces are not for the storage of personal items belonging to individual students. The Henderson Campus Center is not responsible for any property lost or stolen from the space.
» Damage to the storage unit during the assigned organization's tenure will be the financial responsibility of assigned group.
